Ezidox Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

To facilitate automated organizational reporting, Ezidox collects the following information when used on the Equidox platform:

• Personal Identity Information: Your organizational email address and your Equidox Profile Name.
• User Activity & Website Content: The titles of the documents you are currently editing or viewing in your workspace, and the validation progress (number of completed pages versus total pages) of those documents.

2. How We Use Information

The data collected is used strictly for internal workflow management and reporting. It allows your organization to generate live dashboards and track document remediation progress without requiring manual data entry.

3. Data Transmission and Storage

Ezidox does not use third-party analytics trackers. Data is transmitted directly and securely via HTTPS to a private, organizationally managed cloud database (hosted via Cloudflare). To minimize redundant data transmissions and optimize network performance, a cached version of your recent synchronization state (including Name, Email, and document progress) is stored securely in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local).

4. Organizational Scope (Opt-In)

The data collection features are domain-restricted. The extension will only collect and transmit identity and progress data if you are logged into Equidox using an authorized organizational email address (e.g., @asu.edu). If you use a non-authorized or personal email, these telemetry features remain entirely dormant.
